| Breaking News | | Sunday, August 29th, 2032: Obrien Out for One Week Isaac Obrien at first refused to leave today's Minnesota-Milwaukee game after he suffered a dislocated finger while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Milwaukee third baseman said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Obrien out of action for one week.
This season in 118 games Obrien is batting .217 with 17 home runs, 53 RBIs and has scored 55 times. | | Sunday, August 15th, 2032: Wolf Spins Shutout Against Milwaukee On the hill Nick Wolf stood out and was the master of the moment as he blanked Milwaukee 6-0.
At bat the Brewers floundered, fizzled, and failed to score.
"His fastball moves and he mixes in the slider," the Milwaukee manager said. "He kept us off balance."
The Seattle pitcher hurled a 6-hit shutout in an exceptional effort. He gave up 1 walk and numbered 10 strikeouts.
"I felt good," Wolf said. "That's probably the best fastball I've had all season. I was able to locate it pretty well. They were super-aggressive, which helped me."
To date this season, Wolf has a record of 13 wins and 6 losses and a 2.42 ERA. He has appeared in 25 games and struck out 195 in 189.1 innings. | | Monday, August 9th, 2032: Red Sox Delis Hits 300th Homer The Boston 5-2 victory over Milwaukee was highlighted by Ernesto Delis's 300th career home run. His teammates congratulated him at home plate after he circled the bases.
"I didn't see all of them out there," Delis laughed, "until I rounded third base." He added sheepishly: "It was only a home run. It's not like I won us a World Series!"
In 4 at-bats the Red Sox center fielder collected 2 hits in his historic game, scored 2 runs and had 2 runs batted in.
In his career Delis has played in 1270 games, rolling up 1387 hits, 236 doubles, 33 triples, 300 homers, 857 walks and 689 strikeouts. He has hit .308 with 883 RBIs and scored 1038 times. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 65-97, .401 PCT | | Position in Division | 5th, 39.0 GB | | Record at home | 33-48, .407 PCT | | Record on the road | 32-49, .395 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 6-5, .545 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 22-26, .458 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 13-36, .265 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 52-61, .460 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 3-7, .300 PCT | | Record in March | 0-1, .000 PCT | | Record in April | 10-16, .385 PCT | | Record in May | 12-14, .462 PCT | | Record in June | 12-15, .444 PCT | | Record in July | 6-19, .240 PCT | | Record in August | 12-15, .444 PCT | | Record in September | 11-15, .423 PCT | | Record in October | 2-2, .500 PCT |
