He really glistened on the diamond this week with a .520 average to take home the honor. The Baltimore shortstop went 13-25, drove in 11 runs, scored 6 times and hit 5 home runs.

The 23-year-old left fielder put up some very healthy numbers:

Year to date in 142 games Caudle has compiled a .267 batting average with 151 hits in 566 at-bats, 31 home runs, 50 walks, and a .324 OBP. Baltimore whipped Orlando 12-1 and Jacky Valido displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Camden Yards.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told SION reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Jacky is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have, and vice versa."
The 31-year-old left fielder for the Orioles collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats to get his name in the record book.
